Q: WHAT ARENA WILL WE BE PLAYING AT?
Most of our tournaments use multiple facilities over the course of the weekend. We can’t say for certain which rink your division will be played out of until the schedule is released; this is based on the number of teams in each division and the ice available at each rink.
The event page for each tournament shows which facilities are projected to be used.
Q: WHEN WILL THE SCHEDULE BE POSTED?
The schedule is posted online 7 days before each tournament. Our deadline for posting the schedule is 5:00 PM on the Friday preceding the tournament. Once posted, the schedule is available on the tournament website; you can access it by click on the “Schedule” link.
Teams will be contacted once the schedule is uploaded.

An email containing the roster file will be sent to the team rep and/or coach the week of the tournament. We ask that you please submit rosters the Wednesday by noon. This will avoid any delays on the first day of the tournament and will populate your game sheets all weekend!
You can still however register your team even if your roster isn’t finalized!
Q: DO WE HAVE TO STAY AT ONE OF YOUR HOTELS?
We work closely with our host and partner hotels to ensure they are offering excellent group rates and amenities to participating teams and their families. We ask that you support our events by choosing any one of our highly recommended properties, which have selected for their commitment to customer service, great rates and their proximity to the tournament locations.
Q: WHAT AGE DOES BODY CONTACT BEGIN?
Fall/Winter: Follow the tournament location’s local rules. In most cases minor bantam is the youngest age group with body checking.
Spring/Summer: As of the end of the 2017-18 season (April 1, 2018) the players graduate to the next age group. Therefore body checking with be legal for minor bantam (2005 born) in 2018.
We have a lot of experience introducing checking for the first time. It is a transition period we manage every year.
Most teams view this as an opportune time to learn proper checking technique (giving/receiving) – While everyone is the same boat of still learning. It’s a great way to practice and get a head start on the competition next fall.
However, there are plenty of teams (for example GTHL A, House Select, AE or MD) that wish to play noncontact. If that is the case please let us know. We usually have a separate noncontact division for these teams
It is the responsibility of the coach or manager of a noncontact team to notify us of your preference. Otherwise eligible for body checking will be assumed for 2005’s and older
